Ingredients

  • 200 g oat cream cheese (soft cheese, also as a roll)
  • 2 medium tomato (s)
  • 1 teaspoon rosemary, fresher
  • 1 teaspoon thyme, fresher
  • 2 teaspoons honey (thyme or forest honey), strong and tart
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ sea salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ pepper, freshly ground
  • 2 pinches sugar

Instructions

  1. Grease a baking dish with olive oil and preheat the oven to 200 ° C. Wash the tomatoes and cut out the stalk. Wash and finely chop the herbs.
  2. Cut the tomatoes into eight slices, cut a small slice from the end pieces so that the tomatoes lie straight in the baking dish. Season the tomatoes with sugar, sea salt and pepper. Then cut the goat cheese into eight equally thick slices and cover the tomatoes with them. Drizzle the goat cheese evenly with honey and sprinkle with the herbs.
  3. Bake in the hot oven for about 5-10 minutes on the middle rack.
  4. Tastes good on fresh bread.
  5. Tips: If you only want to gratinate the cheese, use either top heat or the grill in the oven - if you also prefer the tomatoes a little softer, use top and bottom heat.
  6. If you like the strong goat cheese taste, you can of course cut it thicker.
