Gooseberry Smoothie with Banana and Poppy Seeds

Delicate milk smoothie with banana, honey, and gooseberries – a vitamin drink and a snack in one bottle! The milk base gives the drink a delicate, some kind of creamy taste, and the poppy seeds – an interesting texture. Healthy, tasty, and ready in just 5 minutes. Try it!

Ingredients

  • Milk – 200 ml
  • Gooseberry – 200 g
  • Banana – 170 g
  • Honey – 1 tbsp
  • Poppy – 1 teaspoon

For decoration (optional):

  • Fresh mint – 4 leaves
  • Poppy – 1 pinch

Directions

  1. Gooseberries work either fresh or frozen. The more ripe the banana is, the sweeter the smoothie will be. The amount of honey can be adjusted to taste – if the banana is overripe and the gooseberry is sweet, then you can reduce the amount of honey or not use it at all. Wash and dry the gooseberries.
  2. Peel the banana, break it into small pieces, and place in a blender bowl. Add gooseberries.
  3. Add honey and poppy seeds.
  4. Pour in milk.
  5. Whisk everything on high speed for about 1-2 minutes, until smooth.
  6. Gooseberry smoothie with banana and poppy seeds ready. Pour it into glasses, add a straw, and, if desired, garnish with a mint leaf and a pinch of poppy seeds. Bon Appetit!
