Goulash with Beer ‘Transcarpathian’

Ingredients

  • Beef – 1 Kilogram
  • Dark beer – 500 Milliliters
  • Garlic – 6 Cloves
  • Apple – 2 Pieces
  • Bay leaf – 3 pieces
  • Chili pepper – 1 Piece
  • Paprika – 2 Tbsp. spoons
  • Tomato juice – 1 Liter
  • Carrots – 3 Pieces
  • Kohlrabi cabbage – 1/2 Piece
  • Onions – 3 Pieces
  • Vegetable oil – To taste
  • Salt – To taste
  • Pepper – To taste

Directions

  1. Peel the onion, kohlrabi and carrots, cut into cubes.
  2.  Fry the onion until transparent with a little oil
  3. Add tomato paste and some water.
  4. Add carrots and kohlrabi, simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Wash the meat and cut into medium-sized pieces, apples into cubes, garlic as desired.
  6. Add meat to the pan, simmer for about 10 minutes. Then send the apple and garlic to the meat, simmer all together for about 20 minutes. Pour in beer and simmer for about 1 hour.
  7. Season with salt and pepper and serve.
