Ingredients

  • 5 egg (s)
  • 250 g mararine
  • 250 grams sugar
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • 2 packs vanilla sugar
  • 250 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 400 g rhubarb
  • 100 g almond (s), round
  • Margarine, for the mold
  • possibly breadcrumbs for the shape
  • powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Separate the eggs. Mix the fat with the sugar, salt and vanilla sugar until frothy.
  2. Gradually stir in the egg yolks.
  3. Sift the flour with the baking powder and stir in.
  4. Peel, wash and cut the rhubarb into pieces. Fold into the dough together with the ground almonds. Beat the egg white until stiff and fold in carefully.
  5. Preheat the oven to approx. 175 °. Grease a wreath or springform pan and sprinkle with breadcrumbs if necessary. Pour in the dough, smooth it out a bit and bake for about 60 minutes.
  6. Chopsticks sample (every oven bakes differently!)
  7. Dust with powdered sugar.
  8. Grandma said you could also replace the rhubarb with strawberries!
