Grandma’s Cheesecakes

by Editorial Staff

The most delicious breakfast is warm cheesecakes and a cup of aromatic tea. This is my grandmother’s recipe for cheese pancakes with sour cream.

Ingredients

  • Cottage cheese – 300 g
  • Egg – 1 pc.
  • Sour cream or yogurt – 2 tbsp
  • Flour – about 130 g (1 glass of 200 ml)
  • Baking powder – 1 teaspoon
  • Sugar – 1-2 tbsp (to taste)
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Vegetable oil – for frying

Directions

  1. Mash cottage cheese thoroughly with sugar. Add egg, sour cream, salt, baking powder. Mix everything well. Then add flour. Stir the curd dough thoroughly.
  2. Divide the dough into 2 parts. Roll a sausage from each part. Cut the dough sausage into slices about 2 cm wide. Form curd cakes and roll them in flour.
  3. Preheat a frying pan, pour in vegetable oil. Put the cheese cakes in hot oil. Fry syrniki over medium heat, first covered for 3-5 minutes, until golden brown on one side. Then turn the syrniki over to the other side and fry without a lid, also until golden brown, for another 2-3 minutes. The cheesecakes are ready!

Bon Appetit!
