Ingredients

  • 3 point fish fillet (s) (herring)
  • 1 kg beetroot, fresh, or 3 glasses scoops
  • 1 small Jar pickled cucumber
  • 4 medium onion (s)
  • 2 large apples
  • 5 small jacket potatoes
  • 0.5 ½ celeriac
  • 0.5 ½ glass capers
  • 4 egg (s)
  • 4 tablespoon oil
  • 8 tablespoon vinegar
  • 3 tablespoon mayonnaise or salad cream
  • 1 teaspoon mustard
  • salt and pepper
  • sugar

Instructions

  1. Peel the beetroot and celery, cook until soft and cut into small cubes. Boil the potatoes and eggs, peel them off and also dice them. Cut the pickles, onions, apples and herring fillets into cubes.
  2. Mix a marinade from vinegar, oil, salt, sugar, pepper, a little mustard and mayonnaise and mix with the diced ingredients. Mix in the capers and let everything stand for at least 1 day.
  3. Tip: When using beetroot from the jar, do not add vinegar to the marinade, but rather some of the beetroot juice.
