  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 liter beef broth
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • butter
  • oil
  • Flour
  • Potato starch
  • salt
  • pepper

Grandpa`s Beef Schnitzel

Instructions

  1. Beat the beef schnitzel, cut into the edge several times and flour on both sides.
  2. Heat the oil in an uncoated pan, sear the schnitzel on both sides, lift it out of the pan and place it in an oven-safe dish. Only then salt, pepper and keep warm.
  3. Add a little butter and onion to the roast residue in the pan and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the garlic and roast. Pour the beef stock, add the mustard and reduce a little.
  4. Pour the sauce over the beef escalope and cook covered for approx. 1 1/2 hours at 170 ° C (top / bottom heat) in the oven. If necessary, bind with potato starch.
  5. Pasta, croquettes, rice and pears with cranberries go well with it.
