Ingredients

  • 1 kg grapes, red
  • 200 ml water
  • 200 g rock suar, brown
  • 1 vanilla pod (s)
  • 700 ml schnapps, (grain)

Instructions

  1. Put the grapes and the water in a saucepan and bring to the boil. Then simmer for about 10 minutes until the grapes have softened and crumbled.
  2. Now pour the mixture through a sieve (I got 800ml of juice out of it) and squeeze it out well.
  3. Pour the juice back into the saucepan, add weighed rock candy and sliced vanilla pods. Heat until the rock candy has dissolved. Now let the juice cool down.
  4. When it`s cold, fish out the vanilla and add the grain. Stir and drink!
  5. If you like it sweeter, you can add sugar.
  6. So far I have only made the liqueur with red grapes from our garden. Unfortunately, I cannot say how it tastes with purchased or white grapes.
