Instructions

  1. Cut the pork into small pieces. Peel and slice the onion. Mix both in a bowl with gyros spice and 2 tablespoons of oil and let it steep, preferably overnight.
  2. Wash, core and cut the pepper into thin strips.
  3. Fry the meat. Fry the peppers briefly and deglaze with Metaxa. Add the tomato paste. Add the sour cream and cream and bring to the boil. Transfer everything to a baking dish and sprinkle the cheese over it.
  4. Bake the casserole in a hot oven at 180 ° C top / bottom heat for about 20 minutes.
  5. In the meantime, peel the potatoes and cut them into medium-thick slices. Bake the slices in the deep fryer at 170 ° C. When the potatoes are golden brown, remove the slices and season with salt and fresh garlic as needed.
  6. Arrange everything nicely and let it taste good.
  7. Baguette can also be served with it.

Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen.
