  • 750 g potato (s)
  • salt
  • 1 bunch marjoram, fresher
  • 250 g whipped cream
  • 2 egg yolks
  • Black pepper from the mill
  • 40 g butter
  • 75 g bacon

Instructions

  1. Wash the potatoes, peel and cut into thin slices, then simmer gently in lightly salted water for 4-5 minutes. Drain well in a colander.
  2. Strip the marjoram from the stalks and chop finely. Whisk the cream and egg yolk together, season heartily with salt, pepper and marjoram.
  3. Grease an ovenproof dish well, layer half of the potatoes. Finely dice the bacon and spread half of it on the potatoes. Season with salt and pepper. Spread the remaining potato slices over it, pour the egg cream on top and sprinkle the remaining bacon cubes over the top. Put flakes of butter on it. Bake in the oven at 250 ° C for about 30-40 minutes, the potatoes should be golden yellow.
  4. Green salad goes well with it. Marjoram potatoes can also be served with meat that has been fried briefly.
