Ingredients

  • 1 can tuna, in its own juice
  • 1 onion (s), red
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 200 g feta cheese
  • 3 tablespoon olive oil
  • 5 tablespoon crème fraîche or yogurt
  • 5 olives, green with peppers
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

  1. Drain the tuna well, ideally squeeze it out and place in a bowl. Finely chop the onion and garlic and mix with the tuna. Mash the feta cheese with a fork (or in the food processor) so that a kind of porridge is formed and add to the tuna together with olive oil and creme fraiche / yoghurt and stir until smooth. Also chop the olives and stir in, season with salt and pepper. If you like, you are also welcome to stir in Mediterranean herbs or a hard-boiled, chopped egg - depending on your taste.
  2. If the spread is not creamy enough, you can add more creme fraiche or olive oil.
  3. The spread is suitable both as a cold spread and as a topping for gratinated toasts / baguettes / breads (please only heat if prepared with creme fraiche - yoghurt could curdle!), As well as a dip for raw vegetables.
  4. Served in dumplings on a bed of lettuce, it can also be served as a starter.
