  • 600 g beans, reen, fresh or frozen
  • 100 g bacon, mixed or farm ham
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 25 g butter or 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • salt
  • Black pepper
  • Savory
  • Water or stock for steaming

Instructions

  1. Heat the fat, sweat the green beans and fill up with a little water or stock to stew. With frozen beans, leave out the water or the stock, as the beans themselves draw liquid because they are frozen.
  2. When the liquid has boiled down and the beans start to color, add the diced ham, diced onions and garlic and cook until the onions also color.
  3. Season everything with salt, black pepper and savory.
