Ingredients

  • 1 cup kohlrabi, fresh, the leaves
  • 1 cup dead nettle, the leaves, fresh
  • 0.5 ½ cup water
  • 1 cup apple juice, ideally naturally cloudy
  • 1 cup currants, red or white
  • 1 cup melon (s), (Galia melon)
  • 1 large banana (s). ripe, frozen
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ linseed oil

Instructions

  1. As a unit of measurement, I use a 250 ml coffee mug, it`s quick and you don`t have to clean too much afterwards.
  2. First, neatly stuff the dead nettle leaves plucked from the stalks into the cup until nothing really fits. If you can`t get to the dead nettles, you can of course also take 1 cup of spinach. Free the kohlrabi leaves from the stems, i.e. separate the leaf to the right and left of the stalk and then crush it and measure it in the cup.
  3. Then grind together with the water and apple juice in a blender until no more pieces of leaf are visible. If you like your smoothie sweet, you can also add apple juice.
  4. Adding the linseed oil, this is important so that the vitamins can also be absorbed by the body. Then add the diced Galia melon, without seeds or skin, the currants and the banana and mix.
