Ingredients

  • 500 g steak (s) (sirloin steak or roast beef)
  • 2 teaspoons chilli flakes
  • 4 stalks lemongrass, only the white part, finely chopped
  • 2 slices ginger, fresh, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 4 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 4 teaspoons palm sugar, or brown sugar
  • 125 ml oyster sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil

Instructions

  1. Cut the meat into long, thin strips.
  2. Mix a marinade from chilli, lemongrass, ginger, turmeric, garlic, palm sugar, oyster sauce, salt and oil.
  3. Put the meat in a bowl and mix with the marinade. Marinate with a lid tightly closed in the refrigerator for 4 hours.
  4. Place the bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes so that they do not burn when grilling. Put the meat strips on the skewers and grill them on the grill on both sides until crispy and brown.
