Ingredients

  • 2 sausages (grilled sausages, already cooked, from the day before)
  • 2 steak (s) (grilled steaks, already cooked, from the day before)
  • 2 medium onion (s)
  • 3 medium clove garlic (s)
  • 1 can / s tomatoes, chunky
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoon oil for frying
  • 2 bell pepper (s)
  • 200 g mushrooms, fresh
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • turmeric
  • coriander
  • marjoram
  • ginger powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder, noble sweet
  • 125 ml water

Instructions

  1. Here comes the ideal recipe for using leftover grilled meat and / or grilled sausages.
  2. To prepare, cut the sausages into slices and the steak into bite-sized pieces. Dice the onions, as well as the garlic cloves. Cut the peppers into bite-sized pieces and the mushrooms into quarters. Provide spices.
  3. Fry the onion cubes in a pan with the heated oil over a medium heat until translucent. Just before the onions turn color, add the peppers and mushrooms along with the garlic. Now turn the heat a little higher. Let the whole fry for about 5 minutes while stirring. The mushrooms should be liquid and lightly browned. Be careful not to brown the garlic. You may have to add some oil.
  4. Now reduce the heat a little, add the diced meat and the bay leaf and season with paprika and thyme. Stir and fry for another 3 minutes. Now add the canned tomatoes and also the water and the other spices to taste. Stir, put the lid on the pan and let everything simmer for 5 minutes.
  5. Tastes good with pasta or with fresh baguette.
