Ingredients

  • 1 kg minced meat, from beef
  • 4 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 medium onion (s), finely diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, pressed
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • some pepper, freshly ground
  • Cayenne pepper
  • possibly ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder, hot pink
  • Parsley, smooth, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon paprika powder, noble sweet
  • some oil

Instructions

  1. Sauté the onions in a little oil, leave to cool.
  2. Process all ingredients into a minced meat dough, let it steep in the refrigerator and season again to taste.
  3. Shape the meat into small balls or sausages and stick on skewers or press around the skewers. When using wooden skewers, they should be soaked for at least 20 minutes so that the meat does not stick to it after grilling.
  4. Brush the grill grate with a little oil and grill the skewers for about 10-15 minutes. The cooking time depends on the temperature and thickness of the meat portions.
  5. Tastes good with tzatziki, coleslaw and flatbread and grilled vegetables.
