Ingredients

  • 1 kg meat (gyros), fresh (particularly tasty with poultry)
  • 1 small Glass hot peppers
  • 2 bell peppers, red and green
  • 1 can tomato (s), peeled or pieces, alternatively tomato paste
  • 500 g cheese, rated
  • 500 g feta cheese
  • 20 ml Metaxa

Instructions

  1. Fry the meat in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the chopped hot peppers. Stew everything for 10 min. Add the canned tomatoes. Crumble the feta cheese into small pieces and stir in. Add the Metaxa and stir well.
  2. Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F). Transfer the mixture to a baking dish and bake for 15-20 min.
  3. Spread the grated cheese over the mixture and bake for 15 min at 160°C (320°F).
