Ingredients

  • 500 g yros meat
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 1 large can (s) mushrooms
  • 1 shot red wine (50-00 ml)
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1 liter broth
  • 1 can tomato (s), peeled, chopped
  • 2 packs processed cheese with herbs and cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed through
  • salt and pepper
  • Sauce thickener, dark
  • thyme
  • possibly sambal oelek or chili powder

Instructions

  1. Fry the gyros and chopped onions, add the drained mushrooms and let simmer briefly. Deglaze with red wine and cream and then pour in the broth. Let simmer for 10 minutes. Then add the tomatoes with the liquid. Stir in the garlic and spices. Coarsely chop the processed cheese and stir in as well. As soon as the cheese has melted, use the sauce thickener to bind the soup until it is smooth. Possibly season again with the spices.
  2. If you like it spicier, you can add some sambal oelek or chili powder. Fresh white bread tastes delicious with it, and we always drink red wine with it.
