Ingredients

  • 500 g pork, sliced, pre-seasoned; otherwise mix with yros spice
  • 2 teaspoons gyros seasoning, optional if the meat is not pre-seasoned
  • 150 g mushrooms
  • 1 large bell pepper (s)
  • 2 medium onion (s)
  • 1 pck.Gouda, grated
  • 200 ml cream
  • 150 ml broth
  • 3 tablespoon, leveled curry powder
  • 1 ½ tablespoon, leveled flour
  • salt and pepper
  • oil
  • Butter or margarine for fat removal

Instructions

  1. Wash, core and cut the peppers into small pieces. Cut the onions into halved rings. Wash the mushrooms and cut into thin slices.
  2. Heat a little oil in a large pan on the highest setting. Now fry the meat, if the meat is unseasoned, add 1 - 2 teaspoons of gyros spice. When the meat is done, add the peppers, mushrooms and half of the onions and fry for about 5 minutes, shifting regularly.
  3. At the same time, heat some oil in a small saucepan and then fry the rest of the onion. Meanwhile, mix the broth (150 ml), the cream (200 ml) and the curry powder (3 tablespoon) in a measuring cup. Season to taste and add salt, pepper and curry to taste.
  4. Now preheat the oven (200 ° C top / bottom heat or 180 ° C convection). Pour the sauce into the pan with the fried onions and add 2 tablespoons of flour while stirring. Bring to the boil for 2 - 3 minutes.
  5. Now grease a baking dish, spread the gyros-vegetable mixture and smooth it out. Then pour the sauce evenly over it. Finally, distribute the grated Gouda cheese in the mold.
  6. Bake the whole thing for about 20 minutes and remove as soon as the cheese is lightly browned.
