Ingredients

  • 2 red peppers (approx. 500 g)
  • 150 g mushrooms
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 600 g pork, shredded, seasoned yros style
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 tablespoon brandy, possibly
  • 3 tablespoon sour cream or crème fraiche
  • Tablespoons butter for the mold
  • 100 g cheese, rated

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 ° C (gas: level 3). Clean, wash and chop the peppers. Clean the mushrooms, wash them in half if necessary.
  2. Heat the oil in a pan. Fry the peppers and mushrooms in it, turning for about 3 minutes, remove. Fry the meat in portions in the pan for 5 - 6 minutes until brown. Put the mushrooms and peppers back into the pan. Stir in tomato paste and brandy if you like, bring to the boil. Stir in the sour cream.
  3. Put the gyros in a greased baking dish and sprinkle with cheese. Baked in the oven for approx. 10 minutes until golden yellow. Garnish with herbs if necessary.
  4. Flatbread tastes best with it. Cool white wine or cold beer are ideal drinks.
