  2. Using a sharp bread knife, cut each bun in half horizontally.
  3. Spread the butter mixture on the cut side of the bottom half of each bun. Layer with ham slices and cheese. Cover with the top bun half (do not spread mixture on this side). Wrap each sandwich tightly in foil. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to 2 days (optional if baking immediately).
  4. Preheat oven to 180°C (356°F).
  5. Place foil-wrapped sandwiches on a wire rack in the preheated oven. Bake for 20–25 minutes.
  6. To bake later, freeze wrapped sandwiches for up to 1 month. To bake from frozen, thaw at room temperature for 30 minutes, then bake at 180°C (356°F) for 20–25 minutes.

About Editorial Staff

The Boss Kitchen editorial staff oversees content review, fact-checking, and recipe verification across the site. Published articles pass through the editorial team before going live, ensuring ingredient lists, techniques, cooking times, and nutritional claims hold up in a home kitchen. The team coordinates contributions across the site writers, handles reader corrections, and maintains consistency in measurement conventions, safety guidance, and dietary labeling. Posts under this byline typically represent team-reviewed reference material, site announcements, or editorial roundups rather than individual-author features, and they are held to the same sourcing standards as bylined recipe and product coverage.
