Ingredients

  • 500 g pasta (preferably short ones, such as penne or fusilli)
  • 2 cups sweet cream
  • 400 g ham, cooked
  • 1 bell pepper (s), red or yellow
  • 200 g cheese, rated (Emmentaler, Appenzeller, Leerdamer)
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 0.25 ¼ bunch chives
  • 0.25 ¼ bunch parsley
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoon margarine

Instructions

  1. Prepare the pasta according to the instructions on the packet.
  2. In the meantime, dice the onion and ham.
  3. Clean the peppers, rinse with cold water, pat dry and also dice.
  4. Wash the chives and parsley, shake dry and finely chop or cut into fine rolls.
  5. Heat the margarine in a pan and fry the onion until translucent. Add the ham and sweat for about 5 minutes. Then add paprika and fry for another 3 minutes.
  6. Pour in the cream and season with salt and pepper. Be careful with the salt, the ham is sometimes quite salty!
  7. Bring the sauce to a boil and then simmer over a low heat for about 5 minutes. Then season again to taste. Stir chives and parsley into the sauce.
  8. Drain the pasta, let it drain briefly and then put it back in the saucepan.
  9. Carefully fold the cheese under the pasta, then pour the sauce over and carefully mix in, possibly adding a little more cheese.
  10. Serve immediately!
  11. A mixed salad tastes delicious with it!
