Ingredients

  • 200 g ham, cooked
  • 1 shallot (s)
  • 100 g ham, raw, diced
  • 200 ml cream, alternatively Cremefine
  • 100 ml white wine, drier
  • 100 g processed cheese (alternatively approx. 5 slices sliced cheese)
  • 1 cup crème fraîche with herbs
  • Olive oil or vegetable cream or clarified butter for frying
  • pepper
  • 250 g pasta your choice

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta of your choice according to the instructions on the packet until al dente. Then pour off through a sieve.
  2. In the meantime, peel the shallot and dice it finely. Also cut the boiled ham into small cubes.
  3. Heat some fat in a saucepan and fry the shallot together with the raw ham cubes until translucent. Add the cooked ham and deglaze with white wine. Let the whole thing reduce a little and fill up with the cream. Add the processed cheese and dissolve in the sauce, then turn down the temperature. As soon as the sauce stops boiling. Stir in the crème fraiche, season with pepper.
  4. Arrange on plates with the pasta and serve hot.
  5. Tip: It tastes best if you mix the cooked pasta with the sauce and let it steep for a few minutes before serving.
  6. It is just as tasty (but also richer) to put the whole thing in a baking dish and to bake it with a little grated mozzarella until golden yellow.
