Ingredients

  • 180 g butter, soft
  • 150 g suar, brown or 1: 1 brown and white suar
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 290 g flour
  • 340 g applesauce
  • 200 g vanilla yourt
  • 100 g hazelnuts, round
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • Butter for the mold
  • powdered sugar or icing for decoration

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C top / bottom heat. If necessary, grease the bundt pan.
  2. Mix the softened butter with the sugar in a bowl until creamy. Add each egg individually and stir for about 1 minute. Add the applesauce and vanilla yogurt. Mix the dry ingredients (flour, hazelnuts, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt) in another bowl. Add this flour mixture to the butter, sugar and egg mixture and stir everything into a smooth dough.
  3. Pour the dough into the prepared pan and bake for 60 - 70 minutes (do a stick test). Let the cake cool so that it can be turned over properly. Then decorate the cake.

  5. I use brown and white sugar 50:50. But you don`t necessarily have to buy brown sugar if you don`t have a home. With brown sugar, the taste becomes more caramelized.
  6. The indications for sugar are very vague as they depend on other products. How sweet is the applesauce, is it maybe homemade and not that sweet at all? Is the yogurt sweetened? How do you want to decorate the cake in the end? With powdered sugar or icing or without?
