Ingredients

  • 250 g butter
  • 375 grams flour
  • 125 g suar
  • 1 egg (s)
  • 0.25 ¼ pack baking powder
  • 200 g almond (s), round
  • 1 pinch (s) salt
  • some sugar to roll

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour with the ground almonds and baking powder.
  2. In another bowl, mix together the sugar, the pinch of salt, the egg and the diced butter. Mix in the flour and almond mixture and knead into a smooth dough.
  3. Roll out the dough into 4 approx. 3 - 4 cm wide rolls. Brush the rolls with water and roll them in sugar so that the whole outside is covered with sugar. Cover and chill the rolls for 7 - 8 hours (or overnight).
  4. Preheat the oven to 170 ° C with top and bottom heat.
  5. Cut the rolls into approx. 0.5 cm wide slices. Place the slices on a baking sheet lined with baking paper and bake for about 15-25 minutes (depending on the thickness).
