This roll surprises with an unusual combination of flavors – herring, processed cheese, garlic and herbs. A wonderful appetizer that is quite worthy of a festive table.
Cook: 25 mins
Servings: 6
Ingredients
Herring – 400 g (1 pc.)
Processed cheese – 250 g
Garlic – 2 cloves
Mayonnaise – 2 tbsp
Fresh dill – 10 g
Ground black pepper – to taste
Directions
Prepare the required foods.
Fillet the herring. To do this, cut off the head, tail, fins from the herring, remove the insides and rinse. Use a sharp knife to cut the herring along the ridge, but not completely. Remove thin skin. Carefully remove the ridge and all bones (you can do this with tweezers).
Put the fillets on a cling film skin side down, cover the top with a plastic wrap and beat off slightly. Then remove the top film.
Cut the processed cheese into small pieces. Add mayonnaise and black pepper. Peel the garlic and pass through a press. Add garlic to the rest of the filling.
Beat with a blender until smooth.
Chop the dill finely. Add dill to the cheese filling, stir with a spoon.
Place the filling on top of the herring fillet.
Fold in half and wrap in plastic. Send the roll to the refrigerator for 2-3 hours.
Remove the herring roll with melted cheese and herbs from the refrigerator, release from the foil and serve
Bon Appetit!
