Ingredients

  • 300 g fish fillet (s) (herrin fillet in oil)
  • 0.5 ½ apple, more tart
  • 3 pickled cucumber (s)
  • 1 onion (s)
  • 1 lemon (s)
  • salt and pepper
  • 200 g pumpernickel
  • butter
  • Salad - leaves to serve, possibly

Instructions

  1. Take herring fillets out of the package, drain and pour the oil into a salad bowl. Cut the herring fillets, half an apple, the pickles and the onion into small cubes and add to the oil in the bowl.
  2. Divide the lemon and pour the juice over the mixture. Season with salt and pepper and cover in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
  3. Carefully unpack the pumpernickel slices, cut them across to form triangles and place them on a plate. Put a little butter on each pumpernickel triangle.
  4. Add the lettuce leaves and add the herringbone salad. A very tasty starter for every menu or just a special topping for dinner.
