Ingredients

  • 1 kg Hokkaido pumpkin (se)
  • 3 vegetable onion (s)
  • Rapeseed oil
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 teaspoon thyme, dried
  • 200 g low-fat quark
  • 3 egg (s)
  • 450 g flour
  • 1 packet baking powder
  • 200 g bacon, diced

Instructions

  1. Core the Hokkaido and cut into thin wedges. Peel the onions, cut into thin slices and place in a pan with the rapeseed oil. Now season with thyme, salt and pepper and sweat. Then let it cool down.
  2. Prepare a quark oil dough from the quark, eggs, 6 tablespoons rapeseed oil, 1 teaspoon salt, flour and baking powder and roll out on a baking sheet. Spread 1/3 of the onion mixture on the dough and place the pumpkin wedges on top. Place the remaining onions on top. Now distribute the ham cubes on top.
  3. Bake the Hokkaido onion cake for about 30 - 40 minutes at 200 ° C (top / bottom heat).
  4. Also suitable as finger food for parties. Then cut into small pieces and serve decorated on party skewers.
