These pastries are not only well stored for several days (up to 1 week), but at the same time they become especially tasty – with a pleasant structure and a richer aroma.
Ingredients
Flour with baking powder – 1 ¼ cup
A mixture of spices (cinnamon, cloves, grated nutmeg, ground ginger) – 2 teaspoon.
Ground cinnamon – 1 teaspoon
Ground ginger – 1 teaspoon
Soda – ½ teaspoon.
Honey – ½ cup
Butter – 60 g
Brown sugar – 1/3 cup
Large egg – 1 pc.
Milk – ½ cup
Directions
Preheat oven to 180 degrees. Cover the sides and bottom of a rectangular baking dish (21x11x6 cm) with parchment. Combine the sifted flour, baking soda and spices in a bowl. Heat and melt the honey, butter and sugar in a saucepan. Add to dry ingredients and stir.
Add lightly beaten egg and milk. Mix well until smooth. The dough should be relatively thin.
Pour the dough into a mold and bake the cake for 30-35 minutes until it rises and is firm to the touch. Cool on a wire rack, remove from mold and cut. Enjoy your tea!
