Ingredients
- 2 ½ liters apple juice, unsweetened
- 60 ml maple syrup
- 6 grains allspice, whole
- 6 carnation (s), whole
- 2 sticks cinnamon
- 1 medium lemon (s), zest cut into strips
- 1 large orange (s), peel cut into strips
- Cinnamon, whole for garnish

- Put the maple syrup and 2.5 - 2.7 liters of apple juice in a large saucepan. Add the allspice grains, cloves, cinnamon sticks, lemons and orange peel. Heat over moderate heat for 5-10 minutes, the juice should be very hot, but not boiling. Remove from the heat and pour the whole thing through a sieve into a heat-resistant container.
- Serve hot in a large mug with a stick of cinnamon.
- You can also use sweetened apple juice, but then you should do without the maple syrup in whole or in part. You can always sweeten according to your taste.
