Ingredients

  • 1 baguette (s) cut into slices
  • 150 g processed cheese (smoked processed cheese with chili)
  • 4 egg (s), hard-boiled
  • 4 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 3 clove (s) garlic
  • some oil for frying
  • Dill for serving

Instructions

  1. Press the garlic cloves into the mayonnaise and stir.
  2. Fry the baguette slices in the pan with oil on both sides, then drain on the kitchen paper.
  3. Grate the smoked cheese and eggs on a fine grater, mix both together loosely.
  4. Brush the cooled baguette slices with garlic mayonnaise, sprinkle with cheese and egg mixture, decorate with dill and serve.
  5. Hrinky are traditionally served with Ukrainian green borscht. But even without borscht as finger food at the party, Hrinky are very popular.
  6. For a milder garlic taste, the fried baguette slices are rubbed with a clove of garlic and then coated with mayonnaise without garlic. Garlic and dill are found in many Ukrainian dishes.
