Ingredients

  • 4 halibut steak (s), 250 g each
  • 1 lemon (s), add the juice from it
  • Pepper, black, freshly ground
  • 1 large onion (s), finely chopped
  • 350 g tomato (s), diced
  • 1 bunch parsley, finely chopped
  • 80 g clarified butter
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ cayenne pepper
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ turmeric
  • 2 teaspoons coriander, ground
  • 0.25 teaspoon ¼ garam masala
  • Lemon (s), sliced, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Wash the fish steaks in cold water and pat dry. Drizzle with the lemon juice, season with salt, pepper and let steep for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat the fat in a pan and fry the onion until golden. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, the cayenne pepper, the turmeric and the coriander and fry briefly. Add the tomatoes and 2 tablespoons of parsley. Pour the contents of the pan into a bowl.
  3. Spread the rest of the fat in the pan, put in the fish and spread evenly with the tomato mixture. Sprinkle with the garam masala. Cover and cook over low heat for 10 minutes. Sprinkle the rest of the parsley over the top to serve.
