Ingredients

  • 1 onion (s)
  • 200 g pork (fillet is best, but schnitzel also works)
  • 125 g rice
  • 2 teaspoons curry
  • 250 ml broth
  • 200 g mushrooms, fresh
  • 2 banana (s)

  • Oil, for frying
  • salt and pepper
  • Sugar, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat oil, fry strips of meat, add onion rings. Brown everything briefly, sprinkle with rice, dust with curry, sweat briefly and pour in the broth. Cook for approx. 20 minutes.
  2. Fry fresh mushrooms (even if retro recipes are up-to-date again, canned goods don`t have to be anymore ) briefly in oil, best of all quartered and added to the rice mixture.
  3. Cut the bananas into slices and add them as well. Let everything simmer for another 5 minutes and season to taste with curry, salt, pepper and sugar.
  4. I made this recipe when I was 16 and it is very memorable for me. However, I still sometimes cook it for Mr. Koelkast, because it`s still delicious.
