Ingredients

  • 150 g pumpkin meat, finely rated
  • 375 g flour, whole spelled flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cube yeast
  • 110 ml water
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ rosemary, freshly chopped
  • 1 teaspoon sage, freshly chopped
  • 0.5 clove ½ (s) garlic, chopped

Instructions

  1. Mix the flour with salt and pumpkin and add the yeast dissolved in half the water. Knead very thoroughly.
  2. Add enough water spoon by spoon to make the dough smooth (depending on the type of pumpkin you need more or less water).
  3. Cover the dough and let rise for 30 minutes.
  4. Knead the herbs and garlic into the dough. Shape a loaf and place in a small loaf pan (approx. 23 cm long). Score the surface several times with a sharp knife.
  5. Bake at 200 ° C in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes (tapping test).
  6. Makes a small bread of approx. 600 grams.
