Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 8 large sausages, raw
  • 8 slices bacon, cut into wide strips
  • 2 onion (s), roughly diced
  • 5 tomato (s), sliced (or a can tomatoes)
  • 5 potato (s), roughly diced
  • 3 cubes broth
  • water
  • salt and pepper
  • paprika powder, hot as rose

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan. Fry the sausages in it and let it take on a strong color. Remove from the pan and cut into 3 parts each. Then return to the pan with the bacon and onions and continue frying on a low heat until the onions are golden brown. Pour paprika powder over it and stew briefly. Add enough boiling water to cover the ingredients. Add the potatoes and reduce the heat. Simmer everything together until the potatoes are cooked through. Now add the tomatoes. Crumble the cube of broth in the pan and stir again and again. Continue to leave on the stove until the tomatoes are tender (if canned tomatoes are used this will only take a few minutes). Season to taste with the spices. Serve hot.
  2. Serve with bread coated with butter.
  3. Tips: You can vary this dish according to your mood - e.g. with different vegetables, other types of sausage, etc. I like it really hot and always add a few fresh chili peppers. Garlic goes great too.
