Kefir Muffins with Apples, Oatmeal and Cinnamon

by Editorial Staff

Delicious, aromatic, soft and very easy to prepare muffins on kefir, the dough for which is kneaded with the addition of apple and cinnamon pieces. These muffins will be even more interesting if you sprinkle the surface with oatmeal before baking. Such baked goods will deservedly be included in your favorite recipe book!

Kefir Muffins with Apples, Oatmeal and Cinnamon Instructions

  1. Prepare all ingredients. It is better to use apples of sweet and sour varieties; in finished baked goods, their taste is brighter.
Turn on the oven to preheat to 180 degrees.
  2. Melt the butter in the microwave or saucepan and cool slightly. Combine dry ingredients – sifted flour, sugar, baking powder and vanilla sugar in a deep bowl.
  3. Combine cooled butter, kefir and eggs in another bowl. Stir.
  4. Pour the liquid ingredients into a bowl of dry ingredients and whisk everything until smooth.
  5. Cut the apples into random pieces and add to the bowl with the resulting dough. Then add cinnamon and stir.

  6. Prepare muffin cups (I have silicone ones). The silicone may not be oiled, but if you are using other molds, I recommend inserting paper cupcake liners into them. Fill the muffin tins 2/3 full with dough. I got 12 pieces.
  7. Sprinkle oatmeal over the top.
  8. Bake muffins with apples in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 25 minutes, until golden brown.
  9. The apple and cinnamon muffins are ready. Cool them down and transfer from the mold to a plate. Serve with tea or milk.
  10. Very airy, moderately moist – such cupcakes are convenient to take with you on the road and treat friends.
