Korean Style Rice with Pork and Carrots (in a Pan) Ingredients

  • Pork – 300 g
  • Parboiled rice – 150 g
  • Korean carrots – 100 g
  • Onions – 120 g (1 pc.)
  • Frozen parsley – 2 tbsp
  • or fresh parsley – 2-3 sprigs
  • Sunflower oil (for frying) – 3-4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

  1. We prepare all the necessary ingredients.
    Peel the onions.

  2. We wash the pork, dry it and cut into small pieces.
  3. Fry the meat in a deep frying pan (or saucepan)
    in preheated vegetable oil for about 10 minutes
  4. Cut the onion into cubes.
  5. Add the onion to the meat and fry for another 2 minutes.
  6. We wash the rice well, changing the water several times, and add it to the pan. Fill with water so that it slightly covers the rice with meat (about 300 ml). Salt to taste.
    Cover the pan with a lid and cook the rice and meat for 20-25 minutes.
  7. Then add the Korean carrots and chopped parsley.
  8. Mix and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
