Lazy Cabbage Rolls in the Microwave

Delicious lazy cabbage rolls can be quickly cooked in the microwave. According to this recipe, grind the cabbage with a blender, so it cooks faster. Then we mix cabbage, minced meat, boiled rice, carrots and onions, form balls, fill them with tomato paste and sour cream sauce. The microwave will do the rest.

Ingredients

• Cabbage – 200 g
• Minced pork and beef – 350 g
• Round grain rice – 90 g (0.5 cups of 200 ml)
• Carrots – 120 g
• Onions – 80 g
• Egg (large) – 1 pc.
• Tomato paste – 2 tbsp
• Sour cream – 2 tbsp
• Salt – 0.5 teaspoon
• Ground black pepper – 0.5 teaspoon
• Ground paprika – 1 teaspoon
• Dried garlic – 1 teaspoon
• Bay leaf – 1-2 pcs.
• Vegetable oil (for lubricating the mold) – 2 tbsp

Directions

1. Prepare all the necessary foods.
   You will also need 200 ml of warm water for cooking rice.

   

2. Rinse the rice, send to a frying pan or saucepan and pour in warm water. (Round-grain rice is starchy. You don’t need to rinse it thoroughly, as it will combine all the ingredients in cabbage rolls well). Cook rice for 12-15 minutes, until half cooked. Then let the rice cool slightly.
3. Peel the onions, rinse and dry. Cut the onion into small pieces (cubes).
4. Peel the carrots, rinse and grate on a medium grater.
5. Chop the cabbage at random, transfer to the bowl of a kitchen blender.
6. Grind the cabbage at high speeds as much as possible.
7. Put carrots, onions, cabbage in a deep bowl.
8. Add minced meat and rice to vegetables.
9. Drive a large egg into it.
10. Add salt, pepper, 0.5 teaspoon paprika and dried garlic.

    

11. Mix all ingredients thoroughly.
12. Grease a dish that is suitable for microwave ovens. Form balls from minced meat, put them in a mold.
13. Mix 200 ml of water with tomato paste and sour cream, add the remaining paprika.
14. Pour the prepared cutlets with sauce, add bay leaf. Cook cabbage rolls at 750 watts for 25 minutes.

    

15. Put ready-made lazy cabbage rolls, cooked in the microwave, on a plate and pour over the sauce. Good appetite!
