Such an appetizing lazy “pie” of lavash with onions and cheese is a hearty breakfast, a snack, or a wonderful addition to a plate of aromatic soup!
Cook: 4 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
Thin lavash – 2 sheets (100-120 g)
Onions – 500 g
Processed cheese – 2 pcs. (180 g)
Eggs – 4 pcs.
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Vegetable oil (for frying) – 3 tbsp
Directions
Cut the onion into half rings. It is not necessary to cut too thinly – this will help the texture of the fried onion to better feel in the finished dish.
Heat vegetable oil in a frying pan and add chopped onion. Stirring constantly, fry the onion over medium heat for about 5-7 minutes, until golden brown. Then remove from heat and leave to cool.
Grate the melted cheese on a fine grater and transfer to a deep bowl.
Add slightly cooled fried onions to a bowl.
Beat eggs, add a pinch of salt and ground black pepper.
To stir thoroughly.
Cover the form with parchment or grease with a little vegetable oil. Fold the sheets of pita bread on top of each other and line them up with them so that the edges of the pita bread hang slightly from the edges of the pan, forming sides, and the filling does not leak out during baking.
Place the fried onion and melted cheese filling on the pita bread.
Bake the lazy “pie” of lavash in the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for about 25-30 minutes, until golden brown.
Enjoy your meal!
