A quick and easy recipe for lazy cabbage rolls in the oven. Lazy cabbage rolls, minced meat and rice are very juicy and tasty.
Ingredients
Minced meat – 500 g
Raw rice – 80 g
or boiled rice – 1 glass
White cabbage – 300 g
Bulb onions – 2 pcs.
Carrots – 2 pcs.
Tomatoes – 400 g
Egg – 1 pc.
Garlic – 2 cloves
Dried tarragon – 1 teaspoon
Ground black pepper – to taste
Salt to taste
Vegetable oil – 50 ml + for lubricating the mold
Sugar (optional) – to taste
Directions
Prepare food. Boil rice in salted water.
Finely chop the cabbage, add hot water and leave for 10-15 minutes under a lid (boil the hard cabbage over low heat for 10 minutes).
Place the cabbage on a sieve.
Peel the carrots and grate them on a coarse grater.
Peel the onion and cut into medium-sized cubes. Peel and chop the garlic.
Grate the tomato pulp on a coarse grater, discard the skin.
Fry onion and garlic in vegetable oil until transparent.
Add carrots and fry for 3 minutes.
Add mashed tomatoes, salt, black pepper and sugar (if the tomatoes are sour). Mix. Cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes.
In a bowl, combine the minced meat, rice, cabbage, egg, salt and black pepper.
Form stuffed cabbage rolls with wet hands, giving them an oval shape. Grease the bottom of a mold with high sides with vegetable oil. Put the cabbage rolls into the mold
Pour the cabbage rolls with vegetable frying so as to cover them by 2/3 of the volume (add hot water if necessary). Add tarragon (or other dried herbs). Cover the form with foil, put in an oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake the lazy cabbage rolls in the oven for another 30 minutes
