Lean Bagels with Jam

Homemade bagels with jam according to this recipe are airy and very soft, the dough is like fluff, and cooking is simple and very easy. Yeast rolls can be categorized as Lean Recipes as the recipe does not contain animal products.

Cook: 1 hour

Ingredients

  • Flour – 500 g + 50 g for working with dough
  • Pressed yeast – 50 g
  • Refined vegetable oil – 50 g + for greasing parchment
  • Sugar – 50 g
  • Water – 250 ml
  • Jam (plum, etc.), jam or jam – 100 g
  • Powdered sugar – 2 tbsp

Directions

  1. We heat 100 ml of water until hot. Dissolve sugar in hot water and mix with cold water. Add yeast, vegetable oil and gradually add sifted flour.
  2. We knead the dough, divide it into three parts.
  3. Sprinkling flour on the work surface, roll out a circle 0.6-0.8 cm thick from each part of the dough. Cut each circle into 8 segments.
  4. We spread jam, jam or jam on the wide part of each segment. We form the bagels.
  5. Put the yeast dough rolls on a baking sheet covered with oiled baking paper. Leave the bagels for proofing for 20-25 minutes.
  6. We send the yeast rolls to the oven, preheated to 180 degrees, for 25-30 minutes.
    Sprinkle the cooled homemade bagels with jam with powdered sugar.
