An excellent solution for baking for tea. I suggest you bake an orange muffin. It’s simple and lean.
Cook: 40 mins
Servings: 8
Ingredients
Orange juice – 1 glass
Flour – 2-2.5 cups
Grated orange (or lemon) zest – 1 tbsp
Vegetable oil (or margarine) – 200 ml
Sugar – 0.75-1 glass
Salt – 1 pinch
Soda (or baking powder for dough) – 0.5 teaspoon
Raisins – 50 g (to taste)
Directions
Orange juice is suitable both freshly squeezed and from a bag.
Turn on the oven. Pour the juice into a bowl. Add sugar and salt.
Pour in vegetable oil (or melted margarine).
Grate lemon or orange zest. Add to bowl. Then add baking soda. Mix.
Sift flour. Add flour to a bowl in portions, stirring all the time.
The dough should be like thick sour cream. You can add raisins or fresh berries.
Grease the form with butter, sprinkle with flour or ground breadcrumbs. Pour the dough into a mold and place in the preheated oven on the middle shelf.
Bake the lean orange muffin at 190-200 degrees until golden brown (about 30 minutes).
