Ingredients

  • 800 g leeks
  • 30 g butter
  • salt and pepper
  • soy sauce
  • 8 slices meat loaf (3 mm thick) or boiled ham
  • 150 g cheese (Gouda), rated
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • nutmeg

Instructions

  1. Clean the leek, remove the dark green and roots. Cut the sticks lengthways and wash them. Cut into pieces 2 - 3 cm long. Steam with the butter in a closed saucepan for 5 minutes. Season to taste with salt, pepper, nutmeg and soy sauce.
  2. Place part of the leek on each slice of meat loaf, sprinkle some of the grated cheese over it, roll up the slices, pin them with toothpicks and place them side by side in a buttered casserole dish. Scatter the rest of the cheese on top.
  3. Baked in a preheated oven at 180 ° C for approx. 20 minutes. Sprinkle with parsley and serve with mashed potatoes.
