The leeks are first boiled in milk and then combined with fried bacon and drizzled with creamy sauce, sprinkled with cheese, and grilled.
Servings: 4
Ingredients
Large leeks – 4 pcs.
Milk – 300 g
Bacon (sliced) – 8 strips
Egg – 1 pc.
Low-fat cream – 150 g
Mustard – 1 tbsp
Hard cheese (chopped on a grater) – 80 g
Salt to taste
Ground black pepper – to taste
Directions
Switch on the oven with grill function to preheat to a high temperature. First, cut each onion stalk in half lengthwise and then cut into large pieces. Pour milk into a large saucepan and put onions in it, season with salt and pepper to taste, bring to a boil over medium heat.
Reduce heat and simmer onion for about 15-20 minutes, until soft. Remove the onion from the pan and place it in an ovenproof dish and leave the milk in the pan.
Fry the sliced bacon in a frying pan until crispy for a few minutes. Place the fried bacon slices on top of the onion.
Add mustard, cream, and egg to a saucepan with milk beat with a whisk or fork. Put the saucepan on low heat and, stirring occasionally, cook until the sauce thickens slightly, but do not bring to a boil. Add salt and pepper to taste. Pour onion and bacon with this sauce.
Sprinkle the contents of the form with crushed cheese and place under the grill, cook until the cheese melts. Serve the leeks baked with bacon hot.
