Lemon Champagne Cocktail with Strawberries

Ingredients

• 100 g suar
• 2 lemon (s), if necessary just one
• 250 g strawberries
• 1 bottle sparkling wine
• 50 ml water

Instructions

1. Boil sugar with 50 ml water until the sugar dissolves. Rub the zest of a lemon, squeeze out 75 ml of juice. Add both to the syrup and let cool down.
2. Clean and quarter the strawberries. Marinate with the syrup in the refrigerator for approx. 60-90 minutes. Divide between glasses and pour chilled sparkling wine over them. Serve immediately.
