Ingredients
For the ground:
- 250 g butter, soft
- 150 grams sugar
- 4 egg (s)
- 250 g flour
- 1 packet baking powder
- 2 teaspoons lemon peel, untreated, grated
For painting:
- 200 ml lemon juice
- 50 g powdered suar
- 1 teaspoon lemon peel, untreated, grated
- possibly fat for the mold

- Mix the ingredients for the base together thoroughly. Line a tall baking sheet with parchment paper and place a baking frame on top. If you don`t want that, you can of course grease the sheet metal.
- Pour in the dough and bake at 175 ° C for about 30 minutes. While the cake is baking, stir the other ingredients for the potion together well, possibly warm them up briefly in the microwave so that the powdered sugar dissolves better.
- Immediately remove the finished cake from the oven and slowly drizzle with the potion. Then put it back in the switched off oven and let it cool down.
- If you like, brush with icing sugar and decorate and cut into 16 pieces.
- The cake isn`t too sweet because we don`t like it that much. If you like it sweeter, you should simply use more sugar for the base and topping. Of course, the whole story also works with orange peel and juice.
