Ingredients

  • 250 g round beef
  • 2 tablespoon oil for frying
  • 1 large onion (s)
  • 1 zucchini
  • 1 can tomatoes, chunky (content approx. 400 g)
  • 1 can lentils (net weight 400 g)
  • 150 ml vegetable stock
  • 3 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 3 tablespoon mustard, medium hot
  • Garlic granules or 2 fresh chopped garlic cloves
  • salt and pepper
  • Chilli or Tabasco

Instructions

  1. Heat the oil in a large pan with a high rim (28 cm) and fry the minced meat with the onions in it, crumbling it up. Meanwhile stir in the garlic (fresh or as granules). Julienne or dice the zucchini and add to the minced meat. Put the canned lentils in a sieve, rinse well and drain, then add to the pan and fill up with the canned tomatoes including the juice. Mix everything well, season with salt and pepper. Next, add the stock, tomato paste and mustard and stir in. Simmer on medium heat for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. Finally, season with chilli or Tabasco to taste.
  3. If you don`t like it too thick, you can add more stock.
  4. Those who do not eat according to 10wbc or kilo cones can choose rice, pasta, potatoes or bread as a side dish.
