Ingredients

  • 250 g lentils
  • 500 g potato (s)
  • 2 onions)
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 leek
  • 4 carrot (s)
  • 0.25 ¼ tuber / n celery
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon balsamic vinegar
  • 125 g bacon, lean
  • 5 small sausages
  • 2 sausages, (Mettwürstchen)
  • oil
  • 2 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • salt
  • pepper
  • parsley
  • 1 liter meat broth
  • 1 liter vegetable broth
  • 2 tomato (s)

Instructions

  1. Soak the lentils in warm water for a good hour. Cut the garlic and onions into small cubes. Cut the leek and carrots into thin slices. Cut the celery into cubes. Dice the bacon.
  2. Heat the oil in a large saucepan and drain the bacon in it. Steam the onions in it until translucent and then add the garlic. Add the balsamic vinegar and sugar and stir in well. Then add the leek, carrots and celery and let it simmer. Pour in the broth, add the drained lentils and the diced tomatoes and simmer for 20 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, peel and dice the potatoes. Cut the sausages and the sausages into slices.
  4. After 20 minutes add the potatoes and sausage and simmer for another 20 minutes. Season to taste with the vinegar, salt and pepper.
