Ingredients

  • 1 kg potato (s), mainly waxy
  • 2 cloves garlic)
  • 400 ml milk, low-fat
  • 2 stalks thyme
  • Salt and pepper, black
  • possibly nutmeg
  • 200 ml Creme Balance or sour cream / creme fraiche
  • Cheese, grated, reduced fat (17%)

Instructions

  1. Cut the potatoes into thin slices.
  2. Bring the milk to the boil, add thyme, salt, pepper, garlic (finely diced or pressed).
  3. Let the potato slices simmer gently in the milk for about 10 minutes. Then remove the thyme and put everything in a greased baking dish.
  4. Pour the cream balance over it and sprinkle with cheese flakes.
  5. Bake at 180-200 degrees for about 45 minutes (cover with foil if the crust gets too dark).
