Ingredients

  • 200 ml water, warm
  • 500g flour
  • 0.5 ½ cube yeast, fresh
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon ½ salt
  • 50 g butter, soft
  • 1 egg (s)
  • some flour, for the work surface

Instructions

  1. Dissolve the butter, salt and sugar in the warm water, then stir in the yeast, finally the egg and then the flour. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  2. Shape 6 rolls and place on the baking sheet, let rest for another 10 minutes. In the meantime, preheat the oven
  3. Bake the rolls at 175 degrees for about 20 minutes until they turn golden yellow.
  4. The perfect, quick and easy bun dough. The rolls are nice and loose and are also great for beginners.
  5. Prepare the dough for each variant as described in the basic recipe.
  6. Cheese rolls: Put some grated cheese in the dough, form rolls and top with cheese (e.g. Gouda), then bake.
  7. Cheese and ham rolls: Fry the ham cubes briefly and finally knead into the dough, then cover the rolls with cheese, then bake.
